Keeping all of Connecticut’s children safe

Across Connecticut and across the world, the thoughts and prayers of millions are with the families in Newtown as they struggle with incomprehensible loss.  This tragedy has shaken us profoundly because we recognize that these children are our children — that we share responsibility for their protection and we share the pain of their loss.

As an organization devoted to improving the health and well-being of Connecticut's children, Connecticut Voices for Children seeks to ensure that every child grows up in a safe and healthy environment.  While no one policy can accomplish this goal, all of us concerned about Connecticut's children must redouble our efforts to support strategies that reduce the risk of violence to all of our children.

For children and families struggling with the emotional toll of this tragedy, United Way 2-1-1 has assembled a list of available resources.
