2nd Community Budget Forum

Back •  Event Date: October 13, 2022

Join us for our 2nd Community Budget Forum!

Our Community Budget Forum will focus on Connecticut’s labor market and the continued impact our tax system has on inequities in the state, and we’ll  feature a panel discussion on how to put more money in the hands of low- and middle-income families, continuing the momentum toward economic justice. Specifically, we are delighted to be joined by

Rob Baril, SEIU 1199NE President;

Ryan Brown, Bridgeport Public Schools teacher;

Reverend Josh Pawelek, Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Society; and

Shelta Wilson, family child care educator, for this year’s discussion!

These panelists will discuss how to create a strong economy and workforce through increasing wages, providing sufficient funding to public sector jobs, strengthening worker power, and providing tax credits for hardworking families.
