Let’s Talk: State of Early Childhood

Back •  Event Date: February 8, 2024

Every year we publish a State of Early Childhood report that examines the state of early care and education in Connecticut.

The industry is plagued by high costs paid by parents, low wages for child care staff, business insecurity for child care providers and a significant shortage of slots available for children.

We’ll present findings and policy recommendations from our latest report at the Public Library of New London on Feb. 8 at 5:30 pm and the Norwich Library on Feb. 15 at 11 am.

Following each presentation there will be time for questions and discussion.

Food and drink will be provided so let us know if you can join in New London or in Norwich!

We envision a Connecticut that creates opportunity for everyone, not just the lucky and privileged few. Together, we can ensure a prosperous future for all of our children.
