Ray Noonan, author of our recent property tax reform proposal, will review the issues that affect our current property tax system and explain a possible solution: an adjusted statewide property tax system based on Vermont's model.

A statewide education property tax will ensure that communities receive equal funding for equal effort. Our proposal would cut taxes for 2.7 million residents in 117 towns, strengthen the tax base of our largest cities, and level the playing field so that all communities can attract jobs.
