In 2007, the Connecticut General Assembly and Governor significantly increased funding for Education Cost Sharing (ECS) grants to local school districts. This brief explores how these increases vary by District Reference Group (DRG) and finds that the wealthiest DRGs received the greatest percentage increase, while the less affluent DRGs received the largest increase per student.
