A brief overview of how Connecticut relies on federal funding and how the President’s proposed budget would affect the state. In FFY 2004, Connecticut received a total of $30.3 billion from the federal government in the form of direct payments, grants, contracts and salaries. This sum is almost three times more than Connecticut’s total own-source revenue in 2004 (which was about $10.8 billion, excluding federal funds).

We envision a Connecticut that creates opportunity for everyone, not just the lucky and privileged few. Together, we can ensure a prosperous future for all of our children.
