Our juvenile justice work seeks to:

  • Reduce the number of children and youth involved in the juvenile justice system and improve outcomes for children and youth who are involved
  • Keep children, youth, schools, and communities safe
  • Address academic, mental health, and behavioral health needs as early as possible
  • Provide children and youth with developmentally-appropriate services
  • Reduce recidivism
  • Reduce inequities in the juvenile justice system attributable to poverty and race
